Our Story
MyCableNet started in 2019 when our founder signed a two-year cable contract based on a review site that was paid by the very provider it ranked first. We decided there had to be a better way.
MyCableNet exists to give every household the same clear, unbiased information that a well-connected tech-industry friend would give you — without the sales pitch.
We compare internet, TV, home phone, and bundle plans from dozens of providers across the United States. We research contract terms, test real-world speeds, parse the fine print, and translate all of it into plain English so you can make a confident decision in under ten minutes.
We earn affiliate commissions when readers sign up through our links — but our rankings are never for sale. Every score on this site is calculated by our editorial methodology, which you can read in full on our How We Rank page.
Our editorial process is designed to produce recommendations you can actually trust.
Our editors gather pricing, contract terms, speed tiers, and equipment fees directly from provider websites, verified against FCC filings and subscriber agreements. No provider briefings, no PR embargoes.
Each provider receives a composite score across five weighted categories: price value, download/upload speeds, contract terms, customer satisfaction (ACSI data), and availability. Read the full methodology here.
Pricing and availability change constantly. Our team reviews every page monthly and updates within 48 hours of confirmed changes. Every article shows a Last Updated date at the top.
We disclose affiliate relationships clearly on every page. Provider rankings are never influenced by commercial relationships — period. If a top-ranked provider doesn't offer us a commission, it still ranks where the data puts it.
